AMPAS Nicholl Fellowship-winning screenwriter Will Chandler has written for a number of studios and producers, including Sony Pictures, Jim Henson Films, Atlantis Films, Urban Entertainment, Flashner-Gernon Productions, and producers Michael Schiffer, Michael Lewis, Jack Thompson and Russell Crowe.
As a Script Analyst for Viacom Pictures, Atlas Entertainment, Harpo Productions, CBS Entertainment, Lifetime Television, New World Pictures, Will read thousands of screenplays. As Director of Development of Green/Epstein Productions in Hollywood, Will directed story and script development - from securing rights to working with writers in development through to production.
Recently, Will has been a screenwriting instructor in the Stony Brook Southampton Screenwriting Conference and a thesis reader for MFA students in the SBS (Stony Brook Southampton) program.
As Program Director for the Young Artists & Writers Project (YAWP), which operates under the auspices of the MFA in Creative Writing and Literature Program at SBS, Will has designed classroom curriculums and teachers’ guides, trained instructors and worked with thousands of students from 18 different East End schools.
As an educator, Will has designed writing retreat workshops for Stony Brook University's Southampton and Manhattan campuses.
At present, in addition to writing, Will is a reader for an international screenwriting competition, runs screenwriting workshops and works privately as a script consultant
